My former colleague, Gene LaMarca (now VP of operations at Findaway), called me to help launch a new company and product line, pre-loaded digital content device called Playaway. I jumped at it, excited to learn about this new line and to work with my bud and former band mate. At the time they were primarily producing best-selling books. I was in contact with all the big-guy, major publishers out there to acquire copyrighted content and images, formatted for Playaway device label sets and outer packaging, assisted in the vendor choices for label and insert production, and more. Made especially for multi-user environments, Playaway devices mean no download or set-up time required and no need for Wi-Fi. Access to powerful digital content is as simple as turning on each device. And you listen at your own pace. Pretty cool.
