MARY AVERILL,
PRESIDENT AND CCO
Mary started working at her hometown community newspaper at age 14 and became Graphics Lab Manager at the tender young age of 16. She has held several key positions in her professional life, including a 13-year stint in an in-house Creative Department at Matrix Essentials. Her graphic arts experience goes the full gamut … print, packaging, online and print publishing, web, video, audio, the list goes on. She has great belief in ability and an infallible work ethic. “Talent and ability are two attributes in a person that should always be supported, encouraged and shared,” she says. “With this company I bring to the table a collection of talent that is rich, definitive and complimentary.”

CHERI POLK
ILLUSTRATOR, GRAPHIC DESIGNER, ASSOCIATE
Cheri is an accomplished, award-winning illustrator, fine artist, and graphic designer whose professional 35-year career spans commercial graphics, publishing and commissioned fine art. The Hugo House published children’s book, A Bed for Fred, features her award-winning illustrations. Thirty two of her most recent illustrations and graphic work is on display in the Hay House Publishing’s ‘Akashic Tarot’ cards. Her intrinsic flair has led her unique works to be commissioned by private estates, collectors and notable landmark architecture including, the world-famous, historical city of Lily Dale, New York. Cheri is an active member of Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
HEIDI REARDON
PHOTOGRAPHER, ASSOCIATE
Heidi’s passion for taking photos began in high school with an old Canon camera that belonged to her father. “I remember taking black and white photos of dilapidated barns with beautiful light filtering through the openings that once were windows,” she says. “I’ve always had a love of texture, shadows and natural light.” A graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Heidi’s expertise runs the gamut – from picking out the perfect location for a shoot to having just the right eye for lighting. She develops a good rapport with clients from the start, knowing what will hit the mark before they do. Her diverse experience and unique artistry is a fine addition to the talent bank at Averill & Associates.
I have worked with Mary in many capacities since we met. Mary was my employee at Matrix Essentials, Inc. and she worked on many teams for a variety of projects. We have also worked together on projects through her own business, Averill & Associates. She is very focused, has a passion for the work she does and the results are always way above my expectations. On a personal level, she is a delight and I have truly enjoyed our relationship over the years.
Our relationship was one of change, and excitement. Much of our amazing growth and success is attributed to the great packaging and marketing tools that have been developed by Averill & Associates.
